Visit Berlin

Berlin: "Du bist so wunderbar, Berlin" - meaning "you are so amazing Berlin."

Some few weeks ago I went on a girlstrip to Berlin. We were there for five days. We stayed in an Airbnb Apartment in an area called Prenzlauer-Berg which was 7 min away from Alexander Platz with the Tram. Even though the weather was sh*ty, we made the best out of it.

What we did:

We had drinks at the "Monkey Bar | 25-hour Bikini Berlin" - that's the Name of the Bar and ate amazing sushi at "Mido" which is a beautiful Sushi Restaurant with Viet cuisine. I highly recommend it in case you are in Berlin and you want to have an amazing Instagramable dinner on a Budget;) The Location is beautiful, and the staff is amazing. The Food is made with love and one can not only see that, but you can taste that as well. Then we went to Comedy Club Kookaburra and watched amazing stand-up Comedy for free - well all you had to do is shout out "GRATIS IN BERLIN" at the entry and you were in for free. We laughed out loud and created so many insiders - that was amazing. Another Thing we did, was a "free" City tour with the Bus line 100 & 200. Those buses drive through almost all the Tourist attractions in the City, but you have to have a valid bus ticket which cost around 2 Euros. We also had a photo session at the station "Potsdamer Platz" with the talented photographer Luca Fröhlingsdorf. Then we had the best Döner ever in a small Food place called 7 Days-finest-fresh-food. The last Thing we did, was to have an amazing brunch in a hipster Coffee called Krone | Kitchen & Coffee 5min away from "Mauerpark" - which I also recommend. The vibe of the Location is everything and it's affordable.

How much I spent:

I spent around 200 Euros for everything - Transportation, accommodation and all the activities above. 100 Euros for accommodation (85€) and Transportation (15€) and the other 100 Euros for entertainment. Now this trip was planned 3 months ahead and we booked our Train tickets also 2 to 3 months before the trip with Flixtrain which at that time had the cheapest Prices ever! And I also must include that I already live in Germany - so, I don't know how much such a Five days trip cost from abroad. But if have the opportunity to visit Berlin, go for it! you won't regret it.
