My first solo trip and it was a beautiful experience. I went to Porto - a small but beautiful city in Portugal. Why Porto? Well before i booked anything, i first did my research and Porto turned out to be the most "safe" place for not only female solo travelers, but also for women of color like myself.

Not only did i felt safe, but i also felt welcome! I stayed there for 5 Days in an nice hostel and not once did i felt like the color of my Skin or the way i dress were important. Everywhere i went, every place i visited, every restaurant i ate, i was treated with respect and kindnes. I loved it.

The best thing is that it was such a cheap trip. I spent 75€ for the hostel which was amazing (i never expected that) and only 10 min away from the city center and 60€ for the Flight (Ryanair).
