Four easy ways to make money online during a pandemic and a lockdown.

“Money, money, money, must be funny, In the rich man's world” – well it’s a pandemic and the streets are hart out here. Therefore, almost everyone is looking for different ways to stay above waters. And if there is one thing this pandemic has thought us so far, it’s that from now on moving forward, we need different sources of income cause, your regular “9 to 5 to stay alive” – job, might no longer be enough. Because life is getting more and more expensive these days. In the following, you will find four simple and easy ways that helped me build passive income – even in this pandemic.

Affiliate or referral program linking!

Now, you might not get rich over night with affiliate linking, but I guaranty you at least 50 Euros a month. I’m fully aware that 50 Euros might be chicken change to some, but to the rest of us in this pandemic, 50 Euros are better than nothing. And if you share your referral links on social media platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest and co. you might even make more (depending on your following). But don’t get it twisted, you can still make money with affiliate linking even if you are not on those social media platforms. How? Well, continue reading.

How does it work?

First and foremost, make as list of all the online shops and brands you like and use. Then, go to google and look if those brands have public affiliate or referral programs that you can register for and use for free. I know for example that Amazon has an affiliate program that anyone can register for and use free of charge. When you then find a service, a product, or something worth sharing with others online or even in your inner circle, all you have to do is simply copy and share your affiliate link with them. If somebody purchases from that link – which would be your own personal affiliate link, you then get a commission.

Tutoring

Now, this is something a lot of people seem to underestimate these days. People think that just because we now have YouTube and google, our individual services are no longer needed. But that’s wrong way of thinking, because most of the time, people can find information, but they usually want someone to package it for them in a way that is easy to consume. Therefore, if there is something that you can do very well and you think that you are able to pass it on to someone else, so that they can improve in that area, then offer it as a service and make money with it. There is at least one person out there who can use your talent, your knowledge and who is willing to pay for it. This is something that everyone can do aside; even from home – thanks to modern technology. All you have to do, is to first figure out what that thing - you are good at, is and then put yourself out there as an expert. You might have to first offer some free sessions or lessons to attract potential customers but whenever they are willing to go further and ask for the “full package”, you can then name your full price.

Selling your old stuff

We all have old items, accessories, clothing, and more things we no longer use. But all those things are sitting in our house and are getting dusty by the day. Why don’t you sort them out, clean them up and then resell them online? There are some great platforms such as vinted, Depop, eBay, Facebook selling groups or even Instagram, that one can use to get rid of old or new stuffs and make some serious money aside. You can even go further and resell vintage second hand pieces that are still in good condition at a much higher price. Who doesn’t love a good old statement Vintage piece that no one has?! It makes us not feel good about ourselves and special. So, go ahead and give this a try.

Social Media Ads

Let me start off by saying this - in case you were wondering why almost everybody wants to become a social media influencer these days: It’s because of the amount of money one can make with advertising for brands on social media. Most of the influencers and even some celebrities make huge numbers with social Media Ads on their platform. Depending on your following and influence, you can make from 10 Euros to 1 Million per post on Instagram (look at Kylie Jenner for example or her sister Kim K.). Also, if you have a Blog or a YouTube channel with lots of traffic, you can activate google AdSense. What AdSense does is, it inserts Ads on your website, your YouTube channel or on your blog and whenever people click on those ads, you get a commission. I did this when I was a student at uni and I guarantee you that it works. On top of that it’s an easy way to make money while sleeping.

There are many more ways one can make money online - even during a lockdown. Most of the time you need to invest money to gain money. But the streams mentioned above won't cost you a penny unless you are buying second hand stuff to resell.
